Tarot Card Gift Sets

The first thing you must do if considering buying a tarot gift set or indeed a tarot deck on its own, is to make sure the recipient doesn’t own it already. The second thing is to make sure the deck you are considering is one that they actually want. You could ask right out what they want, or you could ask for a list of possibles that you can choose from.

Here are three of my favourite tarot gift sets:

  • The Gilded Tarot Deck & Book Set
  • The Pamela Coleman Smith Commemorative Set
  • The Tarot Illuminati Kit

Le Normand Gift Sets

I don’t know an awful lot about Le Normand as yet, but I think this set from the creator of the Gilded Tarot looks beautiful. It has received rave reviews so it might be just the right introduction to this system for a traditional tarotist. Hmm… it’s going on my wish list right now.

  • The Gilded Reverie

Tarot Books

When we’re not playing with our tarot cards, we like to read about tarot. Again, you’ll have to make sure that you don’t replicate a book that the recipient already owns. You could sneakily take a photo of their book shelves. As long as you read the reviews, you can’t go too far wrong with any tarot book. Just make sure you don’t purchase a beginner’s tarot book for someone who is more advanced.

Think about giving a book that introduces them to another sphere of tarot study, rather than one that is based on ‘how to read tarot cards’. Here are three of my favourite tarot books:

  • Holistic Tarot by Benebell Wen
  • Tarot Beyond the Basics by Antony Louis
  • Tarot for Life by Paul Quinn & Rachel Pollack

Tarot Journal

Any tarot lover would be thrilled to receive one of these gorgeous tarot journals. We all need somewhere to keep our thoughts, ideas, insights and records of our readings.

  • Celestial Journal published by Peter Pauper Press
  • Night Sun Journal by Lo Scarabeo
  • Daily Spread, Tarot & Oracle Journal by Alyssa Montalbano

Tarot Bags

Lovely silky, velvety tarot bags are essential accessories for that special tarot deck. It’s like giving your cards a hug. Tarot cards loved to be wrapped in silk or velvet. Tarot bags make really good stocking fillers at Christmas, and are the perfect add-on gift at any other time.

Tarot Cloths

I always lay my tarot cards onto a silk cloth. It keeps them clean and makes readings more of a ritual. Mine was made for me by a lady who is no longer with us, so I treasure it. Silk squares are fairly easy to get hold of but aren’t these two velvet ones from Lo Scarabeo lovely?

Awesome Tarot Reading

When all else fails you could always order a tarot reading for your loved one or perhaps as a gift from you to you. It’ll be useful to have an idea what’s headed your way in the next year.
