Fountain Tarot: Two of Wands. The LWB tells me that this card is about choice. It may well be, but I also think it is about making sure that plans are completed before moving on to the next stage. I feel this might be connected with my writing… mainly because I can’t think of anything else that’s in the planning stage right now.

Day 18

A day in the life…

After a lovely invigorating shower, I pad down to my huge, light-bathed kitchen. My love has made my coffee and let the dogs out to their exercise yard. The sun is shining and we discuss what to do with our day. There is nothing pressing, so we decide to treat ourselves to breakfast in the small beachside cafe in the bay.

When we get back from a delicious and lazy morning. I decide to do some painting while he goes off to take a nap. I love my studio, which is an old outbuilding constructed of Cornish granite, overlooking the ocean. I love the hone-coloured floors and the massive glass wall that gives me the best view ever. I’m not really in the mood for painting so I choose a few books and position myself on my favourite easy chair and pretend to read. The sun on my face, the sound of the waves breaking below and the seagulls crying in the distance soon lull me to sleep.

Later, feeling energised, I take the dogs round the headland to another nearby beach, where I Hanged Man Fountain Tarotthrow sticks and balls for them to chase. I come home to a message telling me that my latest book sales have exceeded all expectations and I feel happy.

Fountain Tarot card – The Hanged Man. That makes sense… I surrender to the mood of the moment and allow life to unfold around me. This certainly would be a new perspective for me as I tend to want to take control – the day described above is how I’d really like to be. Relaxed, allowing, open, peaceful, lazy.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, I have a 1000-word article to write and two Fabradors to walk. No hanging around for me.
