Infinite Possibilities Days 7 & 8

#InfinitePossibilities Day Seven

– watch your thoughts and words.

Coming to this one a bit late in the day – I have been so busy (oops there’s one) with my writing and tarot reading this week. I’ve written two articles, three blog posts and a 3k word reading. Am definitely taking the first of those baby steps.

I do have a tendency towards being a bit moany. I know that. My family knows it. They love me anyway. Still a little self-censorship won’t go amiss.

My problem moaning areas are: not having enough time, picking up other people’s belongings, having to deal with all the family trivia, dislike of cooking… all these moans manifest at least once a day. So counter-measures:

I always have enough time to get everything done. It’s true.Three of Wands Fountain Tarot
Request other people to pick their own stuff up – politely and patiently.
Deal with what I have to step-by-step and delegate what I can, nicely.
Use AllRecipes to find more interesting and time-saving meals.

Three of Wands: focused effort. Ha!

Infinite Possibilities Day Eight

Change a story that we use to justify why things stay as they are or don’t progress as we’d like.

Hmm… I have to think. I suppose this is apart from yesterday’s minor moanings.

I didn’t go to University – no, have never trotted that one out as a reason not to do anything.
I have kids – perhaps, sometimes.
I homeschool my kids – maybe, now and then.
I am stuck here in the house with my kids and dogs – sometimes.

I can’t think of anything specific..

Oh… ‘we don’t have enough money to do that’… Nah. Actually, it’s the need to earn money that pushes me forward, especially with my writing.

Perhaps I need a tarot card to help me on this one?  The Hermit – again. Shine your light, Hermy.Fountain Tarot Hermit

I know… I don’t particularly enjoy mixing with other people. Is that an excuse? I can’t change my mind about that. However, I do like interacting with one or two people at a time, just don’t like groups. Never have done, as always felt on the periphery and never had the confidence to push my way in.

I am actually meeting a new person today, a lovely lady who contacted me via this blog. How cool is that? I’m really looking forward to seeing her.

Okay, so let’s go with that one. Here’s Mike’s suggested story beginning:

“My life really blasted off in 2016 when I started looking forward instead of back, while enjoying one day at a time in the present. That’s when I…

Met people who really inspired me and helped me move to the next level. Now I enjoy the prospect of meeting new friends; in fact, I actively seek new friendships knowing that we can each benefit in one way or another. I love it when we share the same interests and have similar goals. Each can bring a unique perspective that boosts the other immensely. I really love meeting new people.

Good.
